Components And Tools for Accessible COmputer Modeling in Biology
Catacomb2 is a workbench for building virtual cells and networks and for testing their behavior in virtual environments. It includes components for constructing models ranging from ion channels and synapses to levers and food dispensers. It also has a selection of virtual lab equipment for running experiments and analyzing the results.
Catacomb is funded under grants: NSF IBN 9996177, NIH MH 60013 and NIH MH 61492 to Professor Mike Hasselmo, Boston University.
The software is designed and written by Robert Cannon, with scientific input from Mike Hasselmo and Randal Koene. The latest version of Catacomb is available at www.compneuro.org.
