IaFNetwork

integrate and fire network

Integrate and fire networks are composed of nodes and links, where each node represents a population of cells with the same properties, and each link represents a connectivity or inclusion rule. Profile or patterned (BinaryControl) inputs may be attached to cell populations.

Thus, the detailed connectivity is not defined here unless there is a one to one mapping between populations and cells (each population has only one member). Specific instances, obeying the rules coded in the IaFNetwork are constructed by IaFCalc objects.

The links are subclasses of IaFLink and define synaptic or direct electrical connections between populations. See the IaFLink and IaFNode objects.
