Accessing the CoCoMac database

Querying CoCoMac and displaying the data

Load browse-fv91.ccm

NB, After loading the file above, you may need to select "reFrame" from the little gray menu in the top right corner before you see anything.

CoCoMac (www.cocomac.org) is a database of connectivity in the Macaque monkey compiled by Rolf Kötter et al. More inforamtion is available under the map and browser pages.

This example contains a basic color table and a digitized form of the Felman and Van Essen map (FV91). After loading the file, you should see a zoomable map with the message "no connectivity data loaded" at the top left. To load the data, click fetch map data. This will compose a query for the cocomac database and fetch the data (see the browser documentation for details of what goes on behind the scenes). It may take a little while to arrive, but once the data arrives, you can view the known projections for the map according to the choices on the left of the window. Projections are shown only for active regions - click a region once to add it to the set of active regions, and click it again to remove it.
